Jini Says +

Bentonite clay is a volcanic ash, containing many minerals, it is very mild/bland tasting - so easy to drink. Good quality Bentonite Clay should be grey/cream in color. It has a very fine, velveteen feel and is odorless and non-staining.

Bentonite Clay is primarily used for two reasons: it is good at firming up stool and alleviating diarrhea and it is also an excellent detoxification agent.

The value of montmorillonite (the active ingredient in Bentonite) lies in its ability to adsorb (not absorb) many times its own weight and volume in a liquid medium. It has a predominantly negative charge that is capable of attracting many kinds of positively charged particles. Bentonite Clay's structure assists it in attracting and soaking up toxins and contaminants on its exterior wall and then drawing them into the interior center of the clay where they are held and then excreted out in your stool.

It is this sponge-like quality of the Clay that makes it a good anti-diarrhea substance whilst detoxing your body! However, the only drawback is that montmorillonite has been shown in studies to also draw bacteria out of the intestines. So, if your bacterial flora is unhealthy, this is a good thing. But, if you’re supplementing with probiotics, trying to implant a healthy bacterial flora, then you certainly don’t want to be ingesting large amounts of a substance that’s going to pull all these good bacteria out of your gut as well! Therefore, I would only use Bentonite Clay short-term, or in small amounts and then get yourself on the high dose probiotic supplementation that will address the root-cause of your diarrhea.

For two weeks at a time, every so often, bentonite clay provides a good, but gentle detoxification – and then follow with oral probiotics or Jini’s Probiotic Retention Enema.

Your best option for alleviating diarrhea or constipation may be to use the MetaCleanse blend since it contains a combination of psyllium, flaxseed and a small amount of bentonite clay per serving. Many readers find that the combination (synergy) works better than any of these bulking agents on their own. I would agree!

So for pure detox, you may want to use the bentonite, on its own, for 2 weeks or less. But for ongoing or intermittent diarrhea or constipation, the MetaCleanse would be the better option. MetaCleanse will bulk up your stools and help absorb the excess water in diarrhea. If you suffer from constipation, it will keep your stools soft and spongy, stimulating peristalsis and making them easier to pass. Hence, in both conditions, it helps avoid hemorrhoids.

*IMPORTANT - Bottles may experience paneling during transit. This is a normal occurrence that happens due to pressure changes in transit and does not affect the quality of the product.

Our Great Plains Bentonite Works like a magnet to grab and bind unwanted substances by absorbent action.

With just one tablespoon, this powerful supplement grabs unwanted substances within a total surface area of over 8,100 square feet, more than the floor surface area of four average size 2,000 square foot homes!

Just imagine the amount of toxins it can remove from your body.

Yerba Prima Great Plains Bentonite provides strong detoxification in the digestive tract, with the ability to bind with unwanted substances by adsorbent action. Great Plains Bentonite is specially formulated to provide the maximum benefits of bentonite. Bentonites mechanism of action is physical, due to its colloidal structure and charged particles of sodium, calcium, magnesium and potassium ions, which allow it to bind with unwanted substances in the stomach, small intestine and colon. It is not digested, nor is it absorbed into the bloodstream. Since unwanted substances are bound to the bentonite, they are excreted from the body when the bentonite is eliminated through bowel movements.

Yerba Prima Great Plains Bentonite is made with the most powerful detoxifying bentonite, known technically as montmorillonite. It is a natural clay mineral of volcanic origin, created from volcanic ash deposits that are millions of years old. Some of the largest? and highest quality deposits of bentonite occur in the Great Plains area of the United States. Bentonite is made of microscopic rectangular clay platelets, that when properly hydrated in water form a porous honeycomb or house of cards structure with an enormous surface area.

Yerba Prima Great Plains Bentonite has maximum activity through special selection and processing to ensure an enhanced surface area and optimum adsorption. Studies have shown that maximum binding and removal of unwanted substances occurs only with the rare naturally occurring sodium ion form of bentonite containing a specific range of exchangeable sodium ions.

Yerba Prima Great Plains Bentonite has maximum purity. There are many different grades of bentonite. Yerba Prima uses  USP/NF pharmaceutical grade bentonite. This not only ensures that the bentonite is ultra-pure, but also contributes to the light color and strong activity of Great Plains Bentonite.
