Jini Says +

If I was stranded on a desert island I would be happy if I could have two herbs with me: Comfrey and Wild Oregano oil! Between the two of them, I can handle anything.

I personally use comfrey salve for my entire family (and animals) for burns, insect bites, scrapes or wounds, and cuts. I use it every night to keep my lips moist and I rub some inside my nostrils to prevent them drying out.

I use comfrey root powder to make suppositories for healing anal/rectal fissures and also in my Healing Implant Enema.

The FDA has very different view of comfrey, so do your research and listen to your gut!

Comfrey is distinguished by large, hairy leaves, a curled inflorescence with white to purple bell-shaped flowers, and black roots. Symphytum officinale has been used for thousands of years in traditional Western herbalism for its valuable, healthful properties. Our comfrey root powder is ground from organically cultivated roots.

A member of the Borage or Boraginaceae family, comfrey's relatives include both borage (Borago sp.) and heliotrope (Heliotropium sp.). The Symphytum genus contains about 35 species, all of which can be used interchangeably, although pyrrolizidine alkaloid content varies between species and are highest in Russian comfrey (S. x uplandicum) and prickly comfrey or (S. asperum). Comfrey has large, rough, hairy, and lance-shaped leaves with whitish, pink, or purple flower spikes which have a slight heliotrope like curl typical of this family. It is native to much of Europe, and various regions in Asia such as the Caucasus, Kazakhstan, Siberia, and Turkey, and is commonly found as a weed in temperate northern latitudes.
