Ferrasorb contains the active forms of vitamin B12 (adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin) and folic acid (folinic acid), as well as 25 mg. of iron (picolinate), a bioavailable form of iron.

Iron requires several other co-factors in order to be absorbed and utilized properly by the body.

Each Capsule Contains:
Vitamin C (as Ascorbic Acid) 15 mg
Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxal 5'-Phosphate) 5 mg
Folate (400 mcg as L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate from L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolic Acid, Glucosamine Salt ) 667 mcg
Vitamin B12 (as Methylcobalamin) 300 mcg
Iron (as Ferrochel® Ferrous Bisglycinate Chelate) 36 mg

Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Hypromellose (derived from cellulose) capsule, Leucine, Silicon Dioxide.

Dosage: 1 to 3 capsules per day with food (Do not exceed dosage unless under supervision of a physician)

This is an excellent brand of well-tolerated iron. However, if you have any tendency towards intestinal bleeding or constipation, then I encourage you to try the liquid Angstrom Iron, which is even better tolerated and does not even require digestion to be absorbed.

Remember to also take vitamin C - which is also required for proper absorption and utilization of iron.

The only caveat is that folic acid and vitamin C inhibit the absorption of each other. So take your Ferrasorb first, then about 1 hour later take your vitamin C.
