Vitamin A & D provides 25,000 IU (7,500 mcg RAE) of vitamin A from palmitate and fish liver oil and 1,000 IU (25 mcg) of vitamin D3 from cholecalciferol and fish liver oil to support healthy vision and immune system function.​

Directions +

Adults: Take one soft gel three times weekly at mealtime. Do not exceed recommended dosage. Do not take if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

WARNING: The recommended daily serving of this product contains more than 10,000 IU of Vitamin A from retinol. Taking Vitamin A from retinol in quantities of 10,000 IU or more is known to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Each of these soft gels contains enough Vitamin A for a daily dosage, however, it does not contain enough Vitamin D3 for an adult - who should consume about 3,000-4,000 IU of vitamin D per day (unless you're living in a country that's sunny year round and you are actually out in that sun for a minimum of 45 minutes per day, then you need less).

Therefore, you may want to take one capsule of this for the Vitamin A and then 1 or 2 additional capsules of Carlson Vitamin D3 2,000 IU if you are looking to take a higher dosage of D3.

You can either chew these, or swallow them. We just chew them along with our additional Vitamin D3 and Nordic Naturals Cod Liver Oil softgels every day (and then spit out the gel casings). Take them with food - we make it part of the breakfast routine, and then we're done for the day!
