Various questions answered on the call include:
Some argue that milk is made for the baby calf and not humans--that we should not be drinking it. What would be your response to those who say humans should not consume it? I am lactose intolerant and have had great success with drinking raw cows milk and raw goat milk. Any other kind upsets my system terribly.
I have a pretty strong intolerance to milk and anything with milk in it. I get eczema and diarrhea if I drink it. So I'm presuming I wouldn't even be able to do this diet at all - but just wondered if the raw milk makes it different?
I have Crohn's disease. I react to raw milk when it even gets slightly old. I believe as it ages, it gets more of the beneficial bacteria in it. I have to make sure the raw milk is very fresh for me to drink, that is no more than 5 or 6 days old or it upsets my system. Yogurt and kefir make me inflamed also. Why is this? I thought fermented foods are suppose to be good for you. Since I have Crohn's, is my body overreactive to any form of bacteria?
Will a raw milk only diet make one's body acidic or alkaline?
Milk, in general, is constipating. I believe this is because milk is very high in calcium and low in magnesium. The 2 to 1 ratio that supplement companies suggest is not represented in milk. I was hoping this would not be true for raw milk, but in doing a raw milk only diet, I have been very constipated. Taking magnesium has helped some... Do you think this is a good idea to take magnesium on a raw milk only diet? And if so, how much magnesium? Fiber and enemas only upset my system. I have a very sensitive body. if you have any other gentle ideas...?
I've read people have lived on only raw milk their whole lives. Would one be deficient in anything doing this, giving themselves health problems? Also, the same question for raw SKIM milk. My daughter's liver and gallbladder can't handle digesting fats. She's tried a whole raw milk diet and after one month she started having liver/gallbladder troubles, so now she is on raw skim milk. Note: My daughter is 27. She has Crohn's disease and her body won't accept anything but raw skim milk now. Other foods still give her a flare up. She's been on raw milk for several months now trying to get well.
