A natural, effective alternative to steroid suppositories; helps soothe and heal anal fissures.

Ultra-thin (1/6" or 3.5 mm in diameter) for easy insertion into the sore or traumatized rectum. Extra-long (2 inches) to reach a fissure even high up in the rectal canal. Or, each suppository can be broken into 2 or 3 suppositories if the fissure is closer to the anus.

FissureHeal suppositories are composed of the most effective herbal ingredients to assist in healing tears and fissures.

SUGGESTED USE: (see package insert for detailed instructions)

  1. Ideally, empty bowels prior to insertion.
  2. Break off the suppository to the desired length, or use it as is.
  3. Hold the suppository with your fingers and slide gently into your anal canal, either standing, sitting on the toilet, or lying down on your side. Please see the image below:

IMPORTANT

  • Store suppositories at room temperature (70 degrees Fahrenheit) or cooler, or refrigerate (best).
  • Do not use more than 6 suppositories per day, or for more than 4 months continuously.
  • Each suppository is handmade with care, so shape and color may vary slightly.
  • Consult your doctor before using if pregnant
  • Refrigerated shipping is required for this product during the summer months - May/June to August
  • During colder months, an ice pack is not required for FissureHeal shipments. If the suppositories arrive softened or melted, just place them in the refrigerator until firm. This is normal and does not impact the product.

These suppositories contain comfrey – which is a fantastic wound healer. Therefore, they heal anal or rectal fissures amazingly quickly. I’ve used them myself numerous times. I've made them 2" long in case you have a long fissure, or one high up your rectal canal. But, if your fissure is closer to your anus, you can break them into shorter pieces and get 2-3 suppositories out of each one. They’re also extra-thin so no matter how traumatized or sore your rectum is, you can insert them easily.

Important: Professional herbalists and naturopathic physicians take a very different stance on comfrey use from the established authorities. Many herbalists and NDs feel it's safe to use comfrey as long as you don't use it continually, long-term. Therefore, they recommend you use it in moderate doses for 3 to 6 months, then take a break of 1 month to allow the liver to cleanse properly, then resume use for 3 to 6 months, etc. as needed. Comfrey has become one of the FDA's targeted substances - likely due to its effectiveness, so when you do your research, keep that in mind.

Personally, I have used comfrey repeatedly on broken skin for myself and my kids. I have used it repeatedly as a suppository and I have used it as a Healing Implant Enema to stop colonic bleeding. You, of course, should do your research, follow your naturopathic doctor's advice, and only do what feels safe for you.

Note: Regarding the price of FissureHeal:

"After a complete cost evaluation of the ingredients used, shipping costs (receiving and sending), time to compound (weighing, mixing, pouring), foil wrapping each one individually and boxing..... The compounding procedure from start to finish is tedious work. We must get each suppository poured properly (no air bubbles), remove each one out of the mold without damaging it and wrapping it consistently. This is very time consuming. I tried to keep the costs as low as I could and still make it fair for both you and I."

So, if we could sell it to you cheaper, we would, but as you can see, this is a very time-consuming, handmade, high quality product and the price reflects that.
