What Is An Elemental Diet?

    This is my second time on a liquid diet. The first time I did the IBD Remission diet for 2 weeks & it healed my UC flare. After bleeding for months, I was ready to do anything. This shake made me feel so nourished every time I drank it. I always looked forward to drinking it-I like mixing the chocolate & vanilla flavor together.

    I was having 15-20 watery stools per day and my stomach felt as if it were inhabited by a washing machine. I felt weak and sick. My doctor said "Collagenous colitis behaves this way." I looked up that condition on the internet, found the first chapter of "Listen to Your Gut" and began the elemental diet soon after I downloaded "The IBD Remission Diet." After 3 weeks on the elemental diet, described in this book my digestion is almost normal and my energy is restored. To say I am grateful is an understatement.
